
On almost all machines are found today at least one product from Microsoft. But not all developments would stage hot cakes.
Now, Newsaroundtheworld.net shows you the seven biggest flops of the company from Redmond, Washington.
#1 – The Zune: Microsoft introduced the Zune media player, including music store in November 2006 in the U.S. and wanted to compete with Apple’s iPod. But neither the initial nor the follow-up models are pervasive in the market. Earlier this year Microsoft announced the end for the Zune.
#2 – The Kin: The mobile phone models Kin 1 and 2, the Windows Live services on the Move. But six weeks after the start of selling the mobile phones they found that they did not even play (Over Nine Thousand of the mobile phones were sold). Soon the mini-speech phones disappeared from the shelves.
#3 – HD-DVD: While Sony’s PlayStation 3 incorporates into a Blu-Ray Player, Microsoft sat on his Xbox 360 on HD-DVD. However, one could purchase an additional drive only. After switching off of the failed DVD’s successor, the remaining drives for ten euros, the pieces were sold off.
#4 – Smart Spot Watch: By VHF radio wanted Microsoft to send data such as weather and sports scores 2003 smart watches. But the timers were a shop keeper.
#5 – XBox 360 (Ring of Death): In the first batch of Xbox 360 console, there were many failures. The gaming machine switched off easy. A red glowing ring around the power button shows the user that his console was no longer usable. Attributes described it as “Ring of Death”.
#6 – Windows Vista: The operating system should be easier to use and safer than its predecessor XP. But Vista was irritated with too many security questions properly and needed computing resources. Led many users would rather get on with the XP-sufficient and even led by a downgrade. First Windows 7 could persuade again.
#7 – Microsoft Bob: The program manager Bob for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 users should get easier with little computer knowledge to manage their computer. The surface was like a virtual house organized. However, the program was shut down the computer. The concept disappeared from the scene.
So, despite it’s many successes, the leading software company in the world has also had it’s share of flops.
